Even then there was a fondness for simplicity, form, abstraction, and black and white. Whenever a picture spoke in black and white something deep inside a smiled.

Then, overnight it seemed my interest and learning turned to differing cultures and ways of life.

Asia, 2017

A graduate degree and several entrepreneurial mistakes drug me away from photography.

It was a move to Colorado and an encounter with an eccentric yet beautiful abstract expressionist painter that reintroduced me to my love of photography and an introduction to the “arts” propper. I fell in love with Rothko, Pollock, Frans Kline - the painters and blazing passion were my teachers now.

Working as her assistant and jack of all trades photographer I began learning again…I felt alive and in love, again.
